Cruelty Free Affordable Rainbow Eye Makeup

Hey guys! So recently I was really inspired to do this makeup look by Emma Rectangle after her video collaboration with Deck of Scarlet. I wanted to re-create this look but using all affordable makeup, featuring the NYX Brights palette I recently hauled. This is super cool for summer and really makes your eyes pop, I am literally obsessed and have already planned to wear this eye on holiday. This could also be great for pride month as it's super colourful. So, let me explain how I created this look using affordable and cruelty free products.

What Products I Used:

NYX Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette in Brights
Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette
Soap and Glory Supercat Skinny Liquid Eyeliner
MUA Black Kohl Liner
Barry M Lengthening Mascara
Ardell Demi Wispies Lashes

1. Start by using the yellow shade from the NYX palette in your inner corner. Keep building the colour up until it is nice and opaque.

2. Then use the orange shade to blend into the middle part of the eye and crease. This is starting to create the gradual sunset effect we want. I blended slightly above my crease so it was more visible when my eyes are open, but that is totally up to you and your eye shape.

3. Now you want to use the reddy-pink shade on the outer corner and crease. Once all the base colours are down, you want to blend all colours together to make a seamless transition from each shade.
4. Next, we want to deepen the look. Add the deeper red toned colour and a bit of purple shade to the outer corner and crease until the eye looks more intense.

5. Apply the white shimmery colour from the Makeup Revolution palette to the inner half of the eye to add some dimension and sparkle to the look. If you have any glitter this could also look really pretty.(I literally cannot find a link to this palette anywhere, but any bight white shimmer will work perfectly).

6. Now you want to move onto the lower lash line. Apply the pinky colour to the bottom lash line and the blue colour from the inside of the eye. Go back and add the purple we used before right in the middle of the lower lash line for a pop of colour. Once you've added all the colours, blend them all together and keep building them up until they are nice and intense.

7. For the finishing touches, apply a black kohl liner to the waterline to really intensify the eyes.

8. Draw a winged liner on the top lash line.

9. Finally, apply mascara and if you want some lashes for some extra drama.

I will link Emma's video here if you want a more in-depth tutorial on how to create this type of colourful eye, but I hope if you are on more of a budget this comes in handy!
